W2: IEEE VTC Workshop on Green Information and Communications Technologies
Green Information and Communications Technologies (Green ICT) offer not only a potential energy efficiency market of 800G$ per year but also the capability to eliminate up to 15% of the world's greenhouse gas emissions which represents another economic opportunity in the emerging 21st century, carbon economy. Realizing this potential will require significant technology advances in the realm of greening ICT infrastructures (including mobile and wireless communications networks) as well as in greening, through ICT, various sectors of human activity such as through intelligent transport systems (ITS). The scope of the workshop includes, but is not limited to the following topics:

W3: IEEE VTC Workshop on Wireless World 2020
With the rapid proliferation of advanced wireless communication technologies and services, wireless communications are now facing many emerging challenges, including prominently spectrum demand and network capacity limitations. There has been dramatic growth of subscriber base, and increasing dependence of world economy and society on wireless communications. The challenge of this workshop is to identify the key technologies and enablers that will help to form the Wireless World in the era beyond 2020.
The scope of the workshop includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
- Air Interfaces and enabling technologies
- Interference management and flexible radio resources allocation
- Novel system concept architectures based on centralized and/or distributed principles
- Security, privacy and trust analysis
- Spectrum management and cognitive network design
- Internet of Things enablers and applications
